Belize

My new pre-trip purchase was the Fujifilm x20.  Yes, I was drooling over the x100, but need a travel camera that might take a beating.  There are a lot of options to play with and I've only begun.   Everything posted has not had any post processing and is in the toy camera setting, which is addictive.
All photos were taken in Belize, a two week escape from the Pacific NW winter.

Return to Mora Beach

I love the Olympic Peninsula.  Love driving up there for work. Love sunsets, sunrises, sea otters, river otters, elk, owls, seals, the steep slopes of the Olympics, views of Vancouver Island and Mt Baker & the lush forests.  Thankfully a crappy hotel room in Forks decorated in full Twilight drove me out to the beach.  The make shift shelters that bums sleep in were looking more cozy...

No edits.  All taken with the Canon 40D.

Adobe Lightroom Trial

All original images were bland typical cloudy NW gray-tone images.   As a trial to Lightroom I wanted to change the images to have a tinted photograph feel, like the old images that captured the imagination of a potential tourists.  This is in comparison to using Apple Aperture.  Apple has several automatic stylized image settings, like a cross between Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, whereas in Lightroom one has many more image fine tuning options.

Snow Day

It's snowing near sea level and my kitty is out there somewhere in the cold.

Cold MTN Tundra Craving

I'm ready for spring to begin.  Canon 40D images were processed using Nikon's ViewNX.  All images are from locations in the San Juan Mountains in CO taken during August of 2009.

This is what happens if someone from church backs into a house.
